Terms of Service

Last updated: July 13, 2026

1. What Forge Stack is

Forge Stack is a digital product consisting of source code files (a "boilerplate") for building Next.js + Supabase + Stripe-based web applications. When you purchase Forge Stack, you receive a license to use this code in your own projects according to the tier you purchased.

Forge Stack is NOT a hosted service. You are responsible for deploying, hosting, and maintaining any software you build using the boilerplate.

2. License tiers

Forge Stack is offered in four tiers:

  • Personal ($99): Use in unlimited personal, learning, and open source projects. No commercial use.
  • Indie ($249): Use in 1 commercial product with annual revenue up to $50,000 USD.
  • Team ($499): Use in unlimited commercial products with combined annual revenue up to $500,000 USD.
  • Agency ($999): White-label rights; use in unlimited commercial products and resell to clients.

If your revenue exceeds your tier's cap, you must upgrade to the next tier. Tier upgrades are priced at the difference between tiers (e.g., Indie → Team = $250).

3. What you can do

  • Modify the source code for your own projects
  • Deploy applications built using the boilerplate to production
  • Use the boilerplate in client work (Agency tier only)
  • Fork the codebase for your own product
  • Receive updates for the duration specified by your tier (Indie: 1 year; Personal/Team/Agency: lifetime)

4. What you cannot do

  • Resell or redistribute the source code itself (Agency tier is the exception)
  • Use the "Forge Stack" name in derivative products
  • Claim authorship of the original boilerplate code
  • Use the boilerplate for illegal, harmful, or deceptive purposes
  • Use a Personal tier license for commercial purposes (any revenue-generating use)

5. Refunds

We offer a 14-day refund window from the date of purchase. If you're not satisfied, email hello@forgestack.dev with your order number. Refunds are processed within 5 business days.

Refunds are not available after 14 days from purchase. Refunded customers lose access to the private GitHub repository and future updates.

6. Updates

Forge Stack receives updates on a monthly cadence for minor improvements and as-needed for security patches. "Lifetime updates" means updates for as long as the product is actively maintained.

Updates are pushed to the private GitHub repository. You'll receive an email notification when updates are available.

7. Support

Support is provided via email at hello@forgestack.dev. Response times by tier:

  • Personal: 48 hours
  • Indie: 24 hours
  • Team: 24 hours (priority)
  • Agency: 4 hours (priority email)

Support covers questions about the boilerplate code itself. It does not include custom development, code review of your project, or consulting.

8. Warranty disclaimer

Forge Stack is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the code will be error-free, secure, or suitable for your specific use case.

You are responsible for:

  • Reviewing the code before deploying to production
  • Setting up proper environment variables and secrets management
  • Configuring Supabase, Stripe, and other third-party services correctly
  • Implementing security best practices for your specific application
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forge Stack and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill.

10. Termination

Your license remains valid as long as you comply with these terms. We reserve the right to revoke access to the GitHub repository if you violate the license terms (e.g., using Personal tier for commercial purposes, reselling the source code).

Revoked licenses are not eligible for refunds.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of Forge Stack after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
